Overview

Our girls’ sessions are a free, welcoming space for young girls to socialise, make friends, have fun and be themselves. The sessions are designed around what young people want and need, giving girls the opportunity to explore topics that matter to them, share their views, build confidence and develop positive relationships in a safe and supportive environment. Each session may include a mix of: Games, challenges and fun activities Creative and social activities Discussions and workshops around topics chosen by the girls Opportunities to build confidence and develop life skills Time to chat, relax and make new friends The chance to try different sports and physical activities in a fun, pressure-free environment Opportunities to get involved in volunteering and wider community activities There is no pressure to be sporty — these sessions are about creating a space where girls feel comfortable, included and listened to. Whether they want to get involved in an activity, try something new, have a chat with friends or simply spend time in a positive environment, there is something for everyone. Our sessions are led by professionally qualified staff, with safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion at the heart of everything we do. Come along, meet new people, try something different and help shape what the sessions become. Join us for free and be part of a safe space that’s built around you. Session-specific details can be found on this page. Got any questions? Get in touch! maddi.sweetman@afcwf.org.uk
