Turn back the clock with this fun, effective low impact exercise class specifically designed to meet the health and fitness needs of older adults. We focus on improving balance, muscle & bone strength, flexibility, posture & aerobic health to keep you fit for life. This fitness programme follows all relevant health guidelines to promote active ageing. Exercises can be done standing or seated in a friendly, social environment. Go at your own pace!
A Low Impact circuit class aimed for residents who are inactive and at risk of cardiovascular diseases and mild to moderate mental health conditions. Please note all participants looking to take part must book a consultation to see the Get Active Specialist first. This consultation will run through the essential inclusion criteria to determine eligibility. Participants will receive 6 weeks free of exercise classes and then £5.00 per person

First Steps - This is our shortest walk, 20 - 30 minutes, flat and even ground, gentle pace, no stiles, regular stopping places. It is a gentle walk for beginners and ideal for people who are returning to physical activity after injury or illness or who haven't been active in a while. A brisk pace is our aim – walking as if we are late for an appointment. Children are welcome, however under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult and must also be registered as a health walker.

We offer mat based classes for all levels. Adaptations for those who attend with post injury/weakness recovery work All our classes are open to everyone as we offer many differentiation moves and all classes offer progressions and regressions. We concentrate on the seven principles of human movement – hinge, plank, push, pull, squat, lunge and rotation. £6 per session
